Our workshop on Pruning and Planting Natives was held at Golden West College Native Garden on October 2, 2010. Many thanks to Dan Songster for organizing the day and teaching us about pruning natives, Gene Ratcliffe for teaching the "planting" portion, Jan and Dori, Garden volunteers, and Jennifer Mabley, registrar. And thanks to the great group of 24 participants! Your many questions made the experience more interactive and a great learning experience for all.
The Shipley crew waits out a short rainstorm.
All proceeds from the workshop benefit the Golden West College Native Garden, with which CNPS Orange County has entered a multi-year agreement to provide financial support and for mutual benefit, like this workshop!

Here's a few photos of Gene and Dan teaching, and some wild friends that joined us for the day. If you build it, they will come!
